Important Safety Notice & Leather Disclaimer:

JSL stirrups are designed for use only with properly fitted, high-quality stirrup leathers that are structurally sound and in good condition. Riders are solely responsible for inspecting all stirrup leathers before each ride and replacing any leathers that show signs of wear, stretching, cracking, fraying, cuts, excessive thinning, or other deterioration.

 

Friction and movement between stirrups and leathers are a normal part of use and will cause wear over time. The rate of wear will vary depending on frequency of use, riding conditions, leather quality, maintenance, and fit. Regular inspection and timely replacement of stirrup leathers are essential for rider safety.

 

JSL assumes no responsibility or liability for damage to stirrup leathers resulting from normal use, friction, or wear, nor for any equipment failure, injury, or loss arising from the use of worn, damaged, improperly maintained, or incompatible stirrup leathers. By using JSL stirrups, the rider acknowledges that routine inspection, maintenance, and replacement of all riding equipment, including stirrup leathers, are the rider's sole responsibility.

 

By purchasing and using JSL stirrups, you acknowledge that equestrian activities are inherently dangerous and assume all risks associated with use of JSL products.

Cerakote Finish Disclaimer & Care Instructions

RideJSL stirrups may feature (by request) a premium Cerakote® ceramic coating, a high-performance finish widely used for its durability, corrosion resistance, and sleek appearance. This coating is professionally applied through a specialized process that bonds the finish to the metal surface, creating a strong, long-lasting layer.

 

While Cerakote is designed to withstand demanding conditions, it is not immune to wear. Due to the nature of equestrian use — including constant friction from boots, stirrup leathers, and environmental exposure — some fading, scuffing, or wear of the finish may occur over time. This is a normal characteristic of performance equipment and does not impact the structural integrity or function of the stirrups.

 

To help preserve the appearance of your stirrups:

 

• Store stirrups separately to avoid unnecessary contact and abrasion

• Clean only with water and a soft towel

• Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials

• Dry thoroughly after exposure to moisture

 

By purchasing and using JSL stirrups, you acknowledge and accept that cosmetic wear is a natural result of regular use and is not considered a manufacturing defect.​

Product Testing & Safety

RideJSL periodically conducts professional product testing and evaluations under select riding and racing conditions. Product-specific testing information, care recommendations, and safety updates may be available on individual product or model pages.

No equestrian product can guarantee rider safety or injury prevention under all conditions. Products should be inspected prior to each use and discontinued immediately if damaged, modified, worn, or improperly functioning.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideJSL and its affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, manufacturers, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

RideJSL’s total liability shall never exceed the original purchase price of the product in question.
